Hi there we have a Sam4s ER-5200m
Assistant: How long have you had your SAM4S?
Customer: 6 years, this evening the till has stopped working, gobbly gook appeared on the screen and now we are unable to use it at all, any advice on what can be done or is it beyond fixing
Assistant: What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nothing, unsure what to do

Ok, you will need to try clearing the memory:

1. Unplug the register.

2. Turn the control lock to the S position.

3. Press and hold the key position where the CHECK key is located on the default keyboard layout.

4. Continue to hold the CHECK key while plugging the register into a power source.

5. Press the upper left key of the keyboard, then the lower left key, then the upper right key, and finally press the lower right key.


It may take several seconds but eventually it will display that the memory has been cleared.
