Customer: I don't know, quite a while. We can record, but not play. When we try to play a red circle with a red diagonal line comes up at the top right hand side of screen.

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your recorder I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

Can you please remove the power to the recorder (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the unit, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Have completed that, but can still only record, nothing happens when you press direct navigator, except the red circle with the red line

I want you please to reset the unit.

To do this

  1. Press the Functions menu button on the remote control, and when the menu appears, select Others and press OK.
  2. Then select Set Up and press OK.
  3. Select To Others and press the right hand arrow on the circle pad.
  4. Then select Initialize and press OK.

Once done, tell me how it now functions please.

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted in the unit.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the recorder to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
