JA: What kind of computer or device are you printing from?
Customer: Apple mac
JA: How long has this been going on with your LaserJet?
Customer: since this morning, printed fine last night
JA: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on your model
Customer: do you mean the printer?
JA: The Printer Technician will be able to walk you through that. Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

Thank you for your question, my name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you.

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your printer. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Let me know the results please

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
OK, I've just unplugged the printer and will now wait ten minutes.
In the meantime let me describe the print output quality. I have been trying to print an Amazon returns label with a barcode. The print comes out blurred, it appears to be misaligned with colours appearing to be placed in slightly different positions. The document on screen is black and white, but the printed document has blues and reds.

The problem has not been resolved. Still unacceptable print output.

Please remove the toners from the printer and wipe these down.

Also wipe down the areas the toners go into the printer.

Once done, let it dry for 5 minutes.

Put the toners back in and tell me how it prints please.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
Will do.

Thank you

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
It has made no difference at all.
Expert:  Richard replied 8 days ago.

Ok, though it was done in less then 3 minutes, the instructions take longer to do then that.

But did this issue occur before you changed the toners?

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
Hi, I did not use anything damp, so it didn't need 5 minutes drying time.
Yes, I have had this occur before, but can usually get by when I print in black and white only, but at the moment I'm not being given this option.

If you print on plain paper, how does it print?

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
I only ever print on plain paper, usually 80gsm.
Expert:  Richard replied 8 days ago.

The return labels though, these are plain paper labels?

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
they are, then we tape them onto the packages. Just to confirm, I am using plain paper.

Can you please follow the instructions on this link to clean the fuser for the printer.

Let me know how you go please.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
Hi, I've tried to get to the fuser unit and the rollers, but I can't find a way in. I'm not prepared to use a screwdriver and dismantle the unit as I may cause significant damage or be unable to reassemble properly.

How old is the printer?
