To increase the number of rings, press #211 on the handset to get to the number of rings option, then select the number of rings you require.

Thank you great so far but being 81 I am totally useless. what do i do to find the phone rings as there does not seem to be button to press for menu to go any further

When you press #211 you should see an option to select the number of rings - you can do this using the arrow buttons, and then press OK.
