Follow these steps please to enter the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE ). Here’s how:

  1. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

  2. Press the power button again to turn on your device.

  3. On the first sign that Windows has started (for example, some devices show the manufacturer’s logo when restarting) hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

  4. Press the power button again to turn on your device.

  5. When Windows restarts, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

  6. Press the power button again to turn on your device.

  7. Allow your device to fully restart to enter WinRE.

  1. On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Reset this pc.

  2. Choose keep my files, if that fails repeat the process and choose remove everything.

do you get the option to choose Troubleshoot?

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
It’s now repairing disk errors(might take 1hour to complete). - but I’ve already gone this route with no luck

okay, unfortunately this sounds like the hard drive has failed.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
But it didn’t detect fault with hard drive

I understand, sometimes the test only confirm that the hard drive is spinning.
