I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your recorder. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.
Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.
Can you please remove the power to the recorder (so unplug it from the power socket).
Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the recorder, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

It was not switching off though, it was removing the power to the unit by unplugging it from the power socket.

If you press Drive Select on the remote under the power button, does it then change?
Ok, I would like you then to reset the unit
To do this, open the flap at the front of it and with it powered on, hold the channel up and down buttons for 7 seconds then release.
This should then reset it.
Tell me how it now functions please.
Did it reset though Tina? If not is points to a hardware failure.
