Recently when I have connected my Brother printer (DCP115C)

Customer Question

Recently when I have connected my Brother printer (DCP115C) to my computer (HP Windows 10) to do a printing job, this has been hampered by the following message on the computer screen "Place disc in Removable Disc E" (or sometimes F) with chimes repeated every few seconds. Is this a printer problem or a computer problem, please?
JA: How are you connecting to your Brother printer: wirelessly or by USB?
Customer: By USB
JA: When did you last update the printer driver software?
Customer: Not recently. Cannot quote date
JA: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

This points to a computer problem.

Do you have a card reader connected? If so, disconnect it and tell me how it functions please.

Disconnect everything to the computer, priner, keyboard ect, anything via USB. Does the message stop?

Disconnect everything to the computer, everything connected via USB ports.

Does the message stop?

Customer: replied 5 days ago.
The message stops when I disconnect the cable to the computer
Expert:  Richard replied 5 days ago.

Which cable for which device?

Customer: replied 5 days ago.
sorry, I meant the cable to the printer
Expert:  Richard replied 5 days ago.

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, then connect it to the computer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Let me know the results please

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
Power disconnected as suggested and reconnected. Problem remains

If you connect the printer to a different computer, do you get the same issue?

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
I was hoping for a call yesterday, but am here until 1pm and would be grateful for a call please
Expert:  Richard replied 1 day ago.

I did not accept the call request and wont be able to call.

My last question was

If you connect the printer to a different computer, do you get the same issue?

Customer: replied 15 hours ago.
I am disappointed not to have had a call after three days. I pressed the button for a call and to be charged for that. I have solved the problem in another way now. Please assure me that I have not been charged for anything. I think there was also a charge for £5 earlier on for registration.
