hi , my sky hd box has stopped ,not able to record , and noise coming from box

JA: What's the brand and model of your product?
Customer: sorry don't know that bit I am at work at the moment , I will collect info and contact later kev
JA: What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have switched everything off left overnight and rebooted in the morning
JA: Anything else you want the Electronics Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: i think i have covered all snags , do you need a mobile no ?

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Skybox. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

Can you please remove the power to the Skybox(so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the Skybox, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.
