Thank you for your question, my name is Richard and I look forward to assisting you.

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your printer. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Let me know the results please

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
Thanks, I’ll speak to you in 10 minutes then lol

Thank you

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
It still doesn’t print well
Customer: replied 10 days ago.
This is what it looks like

Stripy
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

Thanks

Can you remove the ink from the printer then power it off.

then using a Q-Tip with cleaning alcohol (or warm water if you do not have any), clean out the areas where the ink goes in.

Then use a damp cloth and wipe down the inside of the printer.

Once done, let it dry for 10 minutes

Then put the ink back in, power it on and tell me if it then prints correctly please

This will also allow you to see if any foreign objects are in the printer which may cause this.

Hi there. It’s still exactly the same
Customer: replied 10 days ago.
Did you manage to take a look at the picture?
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

yes I did.

did you clean all the inside of the printer so no ink was showing at all on the cloth you used to clean?

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
As best I can reach without taking it apart.
Customer: replied 10 days ago.
It seems to be more of a lack of ink where the poor quality stripes are printing
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

And you cleaned out the areas the print cartridges when into?

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
I did that very well
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

Can you please replace the ink cartridges and tell me if this improves.

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
It’s a ink tank printer.
Customer: replied 10 days ago.
I’ll have to order new print cartridges
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

No it is ok as the ink tanks wont effect this.

CDo a Print head clean 3 times using the instructions on my link below please.

https://ugp01.c-ij.com/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/G4000%20series/EN/UG/bg-maintenance1400.html

Once done, tell me if it improves please.

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
I’ve tried all maintenance efforts including ink flushes etc several times.

If you believe it’s worthy of another shot I’ll do it again
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

Yes please, up to three times.

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
Hi, sorry I got caught up with work.

I cleaned it normally 3 times.

I still have the stripes of bad quality print

The link you sent me said to do a deep clean so I’m doing that now.

But I’ve tried all of these things already today before contacting you
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

No problem, if it is still failing then it is the printhead in the printer that has faulted.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Thank you

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
Oh, ok, thank you for the help.. how do I go about replacing the printer please?
Expert:  Richard replied 10 days ago.

You need to return it to the place of purchase, they handle the warranty for you there.

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
Ok, thanks Richard.
