Customer: nothing it is asking for a password ***** i do not have

Thank you. On your Samsung tablet, please press and hold both the Volume Down and Power keys for about ten to 15 seconds, and check. If that does not work, please do the following steps:

  1. Press and hold the Power key and power off for now.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. Keep holding these 3 keys together until the Samsung logo appears or the recovery menu appears.
  4. Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight the option wipe data / factory reset.
  5. Press Power button to select.
  6. Press the Volume down key to highlight option Yes....
  7. Press Power button to select.
  8. Once the reset process is finished, press the Power key to reboot system now.

i have done as you said but now on tha screen is an arrow and downloading but nothing seems to have started

i am sory for causing you a headache but i followed the video got my tablet down to the screen asking for a password i have tried diffent passwords but it will not accept

If it lets you do the factory reset, then it should not ask for a password anymore. When you tried the steps in the video, were you able to see the recovery menu with the option "wipe data/factory reset" on your tablet's screen? Thank you.
