I have to change my set top box from 1TB to the new V6 box,

Good afternoon. I have to change my set top box from 1TB to the new V6 box, I'm told there is no way I can transfer my recordings to the new box, is this true ? I'm hoping that is not, Please is there a fix. Richard.
JA: How long have you had your 1TB?
Customer: Two maybe Three years
JA: What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nothing, only asked Virgin. I haven't begun the transfer yet.

Sorry but yes this is true, they have propriety formats with how they record the data, it makes it impossible to do the transfer.
