JA: What's the brand and model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: Panasonic TX-P42X50B serial no FB-2421270 don’t know how old at a guess 6yrs
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Tv menu ok Just want to connect to internet to access netflix
JA: How long has this been an issue with your TX-P42X50B? What happened right before this?
Customer: This is first time I have tried to connect to internet

Can you please remove the power to the TV and wifi router (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the TV and wifi router, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

To connect it you go to the settings on the TV, then Network and connect there.

ok, it means it is connected now check if you have the netflix app on the TV now it is connected please.

ok, it means the TV does not have this, if you wish to use Netflix you need a Roku Stick which you can get here

You connect this to your TV's HDMI port and it will provide you with Netflix plus hundreds of other channels.

But you need this in order to get this on the TV.
