Customer: I have a smart Samsung tv. Yesterday we had a whole lot of power cuts for some reason and now the the tv will not turn on. I have tried a little button on the right bottom of the tv but it aclicks but makes no difference. Any thoughts
JA: Is your Samsung TV connected to a surge protector or power strip?
Customer: no
JA: Have you tried to power reset your TV (unplugging the power for 1-2 minutes, then plugging it back in)?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not that I can think of

Hi! My name is***** am the expert who will be assisting you today.

First, try leaving the TV unplugged for 10 minutes.

Then try plugging it in and turning it on again after 10 minutes is up.

If it still won't work then it has an internal fault, likely caused by a power surge during the frequent power interruptions yesterday.

Can this be repaired or is it dead
Customer: replied 15 days ago.
No please just tell me on this what you think

If it still won't turn on after leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes then the power supply board has likely been damaged.

This can be repaired for around £100-150.
