Hi, I am Justin. Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now and will post back with your reply momentarily.
Did you do anything with them on the phone to give them access to your computer?
Do you have Windows 10?
Here is the guide to factory reseting your computer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zonjyd2L_GQ
Have you see the guide I sent?
Those hackers, yes, but you need not to let anyone convince you from a phone call in the future.
In this case your computer was fine. The issue was you allowed them direct access through you. You have to know they are not legit. There isn't anything that can stop you from doing something to your computer through their guidance.
No they could not.
I would keep trying and see if it makes it further each time.
It is hard to say
You are very welcome!
I would. It might make it all the way.
If it completes properly it should go the who way steadily.
I would suggest taking it to a local repair shop for a wipe and reinstall.
The options are still the same. Keep trying to take it to a local shop.
Yes they should. They will have external drives they can use to wipe the computer.
There is not.
Not unless it is a restore thumb drive.
Then it is for after the computer is restored.
