I have a problem with my TV. Sony Bravia KDL-46R470A 7years

Hi.I have a problem with my TV.
JA: What's the brand and model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: Sony Bravia KDL-46R470A 7years old
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: It doesn't turn on. A red LED lights flashes. It's on self diagnostics.
JA: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I tried all the troubleshooting on Sony support website.

I need the following info to troubleshoot the problem;

  • Can you please count the number of blinks of power light followed by a pause? For example, 7 blinks then pause then 7 blinks again?

Please unplug the TV power cord from the wall socket for 10 minutes to reset, reconnect it back in to reboot, and check

If the problem still persists then it would be the mainboard internal failure, 2x flashing light is telling the sub power supply section on the mainboard of the TV has got an internal failure and it needs to replace the main board on the Tv to resolve the problem.
