Just installed a new printer office jet 3865. Didn't come

Just installed a new printer office jet 3865. Didn't come with ink cartridges so ordered some - 302. Printer keeps saying reinstall cartridges properly. I keep doing this but still says same thing. Very annoying.

JA: How long has this been going on with your OfficeJet?
Customer: Only just set it up
JA: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on the computer or device you're printing from?
Customer: I only connected printer yesterday. But printer keeps telling me it's a cartridge issue , I added them brand new.

Verify the cartridge numbers
Make sure the cartridge numbers match your printer and where the country/region the printer was purchased.
Check the cartridges for any take or shipping film on the cartridge contacts.
Go to HP Store and verify the cartridge numbers for your printer model and country/region. Replace any incompatible cartridges.
Step 2: Reset the printer
Reset the printer to recover from printer failures.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the power source.
Wait 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Step 3: Identify your cartridges
Read the section that most closely matches your printer's cartridges.
