Hi my sky box that I recorded on isn’t working every time I press record it is not responding and when I do record it’s saying filed thank you
JA: What device is frozen?
Customer: the box
JA: What's the brand and model of your product?
Customer: sky I don’t know f
JA: What have you tried so far?
Customer: just pressing it and trying other channels no response and I changed the batteries in my control I have had the box for some years
JA: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no thanks

Can you please remove the power to the Skybox (so unplug it from the power socket)

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the Skybox and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

  • Turn your box off at the mains, then press and hold the left and right arrow buttons on your box.
  • While still holding the buttons, switch your box on at the mains. Continue to press and hold for up to 60 seconds until the recording and playback circle on the front panel of your box lights up.
  • The box will take a few minutes to complete the System Reset and will then switch to standby.
  • Wait four minutes, then reconnect your TV and any other devices and switch them back on. Press the sky button on your remote to switch your box back on.
