My LG TV has lost sound on digital but not analogue checked it against another TV which is ok. Had the same problem before and it was to do with updates but I can't remember what I did.
JA: What LG model do you have? How old is it?
Customer: Sorry to be so long. 26inch freeview LCD. Bought in 2008
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Menu works. Everything seems to be affected
JA: How long has this been an issue with your LG? What happened right before this?
Customer: 2days ago. Nothing happened. I put it on going through a recorder, then tried it without the recorder and it was the same
JA: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your TV. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

Can you please remove the power to the TV and any other devices connecting to the TV such as a cable box, wifi router ect (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the TV and connecting devices, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

An outside aerial. I disconnected it from my tv the other day when I thought we may have a storm, something which I have done on a number of occasions before.

I want you to reset the TV please

To do this, go to the menu, then the gear wheel then the three vertical dots on the TV.

Then select Support, Then Reset to initial settings.

Once done, tell me how it then functions please.
