JA: Are you able to connect using an ethernet cable?
Customer: No
JA: Which lights are colored and/or blinking on your router?
Customer: My wi-fi has been checked by BT and Apple and works ok with my I pad etc.
JA: Anything else you want the Network Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Everything else on phone seems ok. The option to connect to wi-fi is greyed out

On the iPhone go to settings, general, reset, reset network settings then try to connect
