I received a 522 error message from BT on my smartphone and was asked to change my password XXXXX update new password details on my PC. This I have done and can now receive emails on my PC but not on my phone, nor can I send emails.

What we can do is to remove the Email account and add it back.

  1. Go to Email.
  2. Tap Menu and go to Accounts.
  3. Tap and HOLD your email address.
  4. Select Remove account.
  5. When removed, tap Menu button and select Add account.
  6. Follow the screen and enter your email information.
  7. Test to see if you can receive and send your emails.

Before I try that I should just add that I am not locked out of btinternet on the PC - it's only happened in the last half hour and now they have suspended the account
