I am unable to correct the auto e-mail address held in the correspondence sector, it was changed late in 2013 and should now be closed.
Please give me the necessary information to deal with this.

Can you, please, tell me which e-mail client program do you use (e.g. Outlook)?
Also, can you please describe what do you mean by "auto e-mail address"?

Outlook is the one used, and also BT e-mailing.

Th auto addresss shows when on a 'page' and I wish to send/contact somebody and the address automatically shows in the SENDER section.

When using the normal e-mail section [replying to incoming mail] the correct address is always shown. The auto sender address is for an address which was closed in 2013.

Also, is it occurring both in Outlook and in BT web mail?

This happens when starting a blank e-mail on outlook and always come back in the FAILED MAIL NOTICE.

Normal e-mails issued on my [from the mail sector] show the correct address. It is when I use another source, as if the computer itself retains the data and will not allow any adjustment.

OK, this appears to be the setting in your Outlook account.

Please open Outlook and :
1. Click on menu "Tools", then "Account Settings"

In the Account Settings dialog, on E-mail tab, in the accounts list look for your account with that email address (probably the only account there)

Double-click on the account in the list to open the Change E-mail Account dialog

In the Change E-mail Account dialog look for the "Email Address" field - please let me know if this field shows the "wrong" e-mail address you refer to

Hm, strange.

Please try Tools / Options then "Mail Setup" tab and look for "E-mail Accounts" button.

Please let me know if this does get you to the Account Settings dialog.

Hm, that is really strange.
Please make sure you are using Outlook not BT mail as my instructions refer to Outlook.

Can you tell me which version of Outlook are you using (or version of Office)?

A remote connection is established using a small program called TeamViewer QuickSupport.
You can download it by going to the main TeamViewer page and click "Join RemoteControl Session" link below the big green button.

Please start it after download. It will show a window with "Your ID" and "Password".

Copy both numbers and paste them here. I will then use them to connect.
