I am a free user of Hotmail, this has now changed to Outlook. I am unable to access any of my emails, how do I resolve this & do I need to change my email address

No, you do not need to change your email address. The interface changed to and they don't offer anymore but existing users can use it no problem.
You say you cannot access any of your emails, what exactly happens? Are you still able to sign into your email account?
