Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 phone. My apps updated yesterday but also randomly deleted a lot of things. I think they are all OK now but I can't open the Playstore and just get a message saying 'Server error, retry.'

I'm sorry, I am not comfortable with this at the moment. I don't know who you are and don't think I should do this after all. My query is with Google and I don't see why I should have to pay to have something fixed which is their fault. Thanks anyway.

My apps updated yesterday and deleted a lot of things I had previously saved. Since then, everything seems to be working but I can't access Google Playstore and I keep getting a message which says 'Server error, retry.' It also tells me no apps will update without this. This is nothing I have done but seems to be an issue with Google.

Please go to settings, apps, select three dots there top right then show system apps

Then locate google play, select it than storage and clear data

Restart the phone and tell me how it functions

Nothing. It just says Application Manager, Default applications and lists the other apps on my phone

locate google play, select it than storage and clear data

have opened web browser and am able to visit website. However, got message that Google Playstore is no longer working.

Ok, we will have to reset the phone, this will remove all your data so first backup your personal data off the phone

Then go to settings, backup and security, factory reset

Once done, setup the phone and tell me how it functions please
