My email has stopped working. When I click on Mail, the large blue mail window appears, with a small revolving circle of dots, but does not open further. Please be patient; I am 79 years old!

JA: How do you usually access Gmail? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: On my all-in-one computer.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: At my age of 79 being relatively inexperienced as a computer user, I am nervous of trying troubleshooting on my own.

Ok in relation to your issue I would advise you attempt to reset your Google account via this link here > https://support.google.com/accounts/troubleshooter/2402620?hl=en

Can you ensure you follow the steps carefully here please?

If that doesn't work, please fill out the My account is disabled form :

https://support.google.com/accounts/contact/disabled2 enter as much details as possible (also enter your mobile number if you have) to prove that you are the true owner of the Gmail account. Then Google will verify your account and contact you later (1-3 days).
