Microsoft Outlook - current year's Inbox has suddenly disappeared after a note about red flag came up with some old messages previously read appeared again in red. Have tried switchingoff and back on with no success. How do I restore status quo please?

Just to clarify, are you using Outlook on a Windows or Mac computer?

Please try carrying out a system restore first, as follows:

Press the Windows key and R together on your keyboard to bring up the RUN box.

Type in rstrui and press ENTER.

When the restore window opens up, click Next and then tick "show more restore points"

Select a restore point dated BEFORE you first started having this issue with the missing emails in Outlook.

Click Next > Finish. Once the restore completes, check if this rolls back the issue as well.
