It will not send or receive. Keeps asking for user name and password ***** which I enter but they are not recognised. This box appears repeatedly. My other work email works OK on this computer. Do you think it has been hacked/virus?
JA: How's your Internet connection? Are you checking your email from a browser or a mail client (e.g. Outlook)?
Customer: Internet is fine. I use Outlook
JA: Are there any antivirus or firewall settings that could block you from receiving mail?
Customer: Nothing that I have changed.It was working perfectly for years before suddenly overnight.....

Please follow the below troubleshooting steps:

Close Microsoft Outlook
Press Windows Key and R letter together to open Run.
In the RUN box type control and click on OK.
On the top right side corner of the COntrol panel window, click on the View by drop-down and select small icons.
Double click on MAIL or MAIL 64-bit icon.
Click on EMail accounts and double click on your email account.
In the email settings window enter the correct password, click on NEXT
Close the settings window and open Outlook.

I entered password ***** then Next but the username and password ***** came up again and would not go away.
