Unable to receive e mail asI informed you of moving on 1st December now you have cut e mails to basic which means I am unable to reply or download and print important docs.
JA: How's your Internet connection? Are you checking your email from a browser or a mail client (e.g. Outlook)?
Customer: browser on I pad
JA: Are there any antivirus or firewall settings that could block you from receiving mail?
Customer: no, checked settings all ok
JA: Anything else you want the Email Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: your helpline tried to help but only can get emails on web now, basic, and unable to get on with that.

No still only getting a basic service need usual mail service restored so I can respond, download and print. Can’t do that on wwwmail.

Why is my account in Default

You can not remove it your self but the BT Billing Team should be able to do/arrange that for you.

Contact them on 0800.800.150 but be prepared for a longer than usual wait for the call to be answered due to the present circumstances.

It may also take longer than usual to have it resolved because Customer Services are dealing with vulnerable people and priority issues and I suspect that this will not fall into that category.

I contacted BT on Friday to inform you of our moving date and a technician promised to contact me on Sunday 12.30 pm to set up the new account in our new home. He didn’t and on trying to get e mails this morning nothing was posted,. Phone calls from friends and a Facebook contact showed we were still online and one friend expected an answer to mail which we hadn’t received. This alerted me to a problem which your helpline tried to solve but it resulted in e mails via www. This isn’t an adequate service and I want the line restored please so I can deal with stressful downloading and printing of important docs.needed for our move. This is moving to a care home, so we do need some help please to get this sorted.

Get your account back.

  • Log in to My BT using your BT ID.
  • Click Your products > BT Email > Manage.
  • Find the email address you want to recover and click See Options.
  • Select either Reactivate or Reuse (you'll only see one of these, depending on whether the account was suspended or deleted).
