I tried earlier to get an answer to my urgent query about a £50 Google Play card, and I have had absolutely NO satisfaction. At first I wanted to exchange the card for another because it does not work, but now I am so angry with this obstacle course we have to go through that I would like a refund.
JA: How's your Internet connection? Are you checking your email from a browser or a mail client (e.g. Outlook)?
Customer: What on earth has that got to do with my query?
JA: The Email Technician will be able to walk you through that. Are there any antivirus or firewall settings that could block you from receiving mail?
Customer: No. I have not received an email from you

I purchased the card from a local Supermarket in the UK. I sent all relevant details on the card via email to my grandson in the USA. When his Mother tried to redeem the £50 on the card the message received was REJECTED

Generally, the cards are locked to the geography where you buy them.

Can you confirm if you purchased the card for the USA location?

Did you try to redeem the card for a UK-based account?

I did not purchase th card for a USA location. That is an unclear requirement on the card

I sent the card details to my Grandson. The number for redemption was Rejected!

I am sorry that you were not aware of the terms and conditions. Generally, You cannot redeem a card purchased for a UK region in the USA or any other region.

Your grandson can redeem the card by creating a new UK-based payment profile.

Please forward the below steps to your grandson and let me know if it helps.

  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under Country/Region, select "Create New Profile."
  4. Tap on Continue, Select UK under region, and fill in the required information.

I would prefer a complete refund

If the card is refundable, you can contact the store to issue you a refund.

Note: I am not with Google. I am independent tecch expert.

No thank you. Google site is unhelpful. In cases like this a customer needs to talk directly with someone. I have spent two hours on this. I will never use Google Play Cards again.

The suggestion you provided I am sad to say has not worked. The UK number you provided did not enable me to talk with anyone directly. I had to leave a voicemail. I have no certain ty that they have received it.
