I have worked 33.5 hours overtime in 6 days and when I asked

Customer Question

I have worked 33.5 hours overtime in 6 days and when I asked for payment (usually time off) I was told they will only give me 1hr for 1hr, previously they have given me 1.5hrs for 1 hr overtime
Can they do this without first notifying me before the overtime is done

Do you have a written contract which deals with overtime or is there a staff handbook or other policy document?

How often have you worked overtime in the past and been given 1.5hrs?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

My contract does not mention overtime but I have worked and been paid at 1.5hrs for the last 8 years

Expert:  JGM replied 5 years ago.
That then would appear to be an agreed rate and you should insist on it. They can't unilaterally change an agreement which you've had for 8 years.

I hope that this helps. Please leave positive feedback so that I am credited for my time.
