Customer Question

I have been working for our council at a listed hotel as a casual contract waitress. I have been underpaid for approx 70 hours from my time sheets my line manager was not interested to have taken it higher and hopefully this will shortly be sorted but now there are lots of changes happening including a new contract which we have been advised that we will have to reapply for our positions. Due to the above problems my restaurant manager no longer likes me and has dropped my hours and I'm afraid that I will not get my job after going through another interview with her. We were also told that the jobs were only being advertised internally and that only if the positions were not all filled would they then be advertised at the job centre, this has not happened they advertised it within 24 hours of my consultation meeting. Could you please advise me where I stand with this company and my new contract and if they can actually do this.

Ben Jones :

Hello, my name is Ben and it is my pleasure to assist you with your question today.

Ben Jones :

How long have you worked there please?

JACUSTOMER-kds27qq5- : 5 years on casual contract
JACUSTOMER-kds27qq5- : Hello
JACUSTOMER-kds27qq5- : Hello are you still there?
Ben Jones :

Apologies for the slight delay, I experienced some temporary connection issues earlier on. All seems to be resolved now so I can continue with my advice. Please confirm if your causal contract meant that you had no guaranteed hours with the employer?
