Customer Question

I work for a local authority who have just implemented single status, they have re graded my job and put me on a lower grade, my colleague and I are 11 points short of the new grade and our job was evaluated on a vey old out dated job description, we have since found out they are going to enrol 4 team shift leaders from existing staff which is with in the remit of our responsibilities we were originally graded for in our old post, we feel they are using single status as a means of making our role redundant without offering to ring mark us for these new titles or put us in a redundant situation, can they put a 90 day notice to change our contract even though our present role involves most of the new duties advertised as a new position, or are they breaking some employment act ?
