HI there,
I have a questions about SSP.
The employer pays 3 months full salary if employee is sick off.
Has the employer to pay after this time SSP?
If so, for how long?
If the employer wouldn't pay full salary and just SSP for how long would he have to pay it for someone who is long term sick?
Hi my name is ***** ***** I am happy to help you today. SSP is payable for 28 weeks from the 4th day of absence.
If the employer pays Company sick pay then this is normally included in the pay. If the employer only pays it for 3 months then they would have to pay SSP for the remaining period.
If you have any further questions please ask.
