My employer has just employed his girlfriend at work on a higher pay rate than everyone else. She has no experience in the job and is being trained from the ground up.
I am the only person other than the 2 Directors who who about this as I do the payroll.
I don't agree with this at all and I feel like resigning. What can I do?
You can do nothing about this. The owner of a private company can employ anyone on any rat of pay provided that there is no breach of the Equality Act, ie, discrimination of grounds of race, sex etc. if he want to employ his girlfriend on a higher rate of pay he can do so.
