How accurate is the TSH test for diagnosing hypothyroidism.

Customer Question

How accurate is the TSH test for diagnosing hypothyroidism. I'm ill with hypothyroid symptoms but my TSH is normal now. How do I find an endocrinologist who will treat my symptoms and not my TSH blood test? I'm already on thyroid meds but my symptoms have not disappeared? How do I find an Endocronologist in the UK, who has a special interest in severe hypothyroidism and is able to prescribe Natural Dissecrated Thyroid Hormone like Armour?

Hi. How long have you been on thyroid supplementation and do you know your latest TSH, T4, and T3 levels? Are you seeing an endocrinologist now and if so have you also had your cortisol levels checked?
