Have had a blood test. Calcium level is satisfactory, but parathyroid glands are active. I have no symptoms. I am to see an endocrine specialist. What can I expect?

what is your parathyroid hormone level ?

if your parathyroid hormone levels are very very high, you might need a thyroid and parathyroid ultrasound to check for enlarged parathyroid gland

and you might even have to have part of your parathyroid gland removed.
