Hi. I am 13 weeks pregnant, been diagnosed with overt hypothyroidism. Will my baby be born with cognitive deficits.... Or is it reversible with levothyroxine?

There is a risk of developing various mental issues like poor IQ or decreased concentrating ability

Miscarriage can also occur

But since you have been started on treatment so the risk will be much less now and even once the number normalize it can be absolutely a normal pregnancy

Organogenesis occur in first trimester but if your 16 weeks scan came back normal so nothing to worry about
