JA: In general, how has your health been lately?
Customer: I feel tired ,dizzy ,no energy,I have constipation and my period is effected. I had a lot of pain 2 days ago like giving a birth I don’t have any gynaecologist problems
JA: Is there anything else the Doctor should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: my 2 aunties had problems with thyroid and they removed them long time ago. In the past I used to be on medication because my thyroid was borderline but then I stoped because it was stable. After COVID I started to have problems again and now my thyroid is underactive. Most likely I have hypothyroidism

Thank you

I understand your concern.

Did the doctor ask for any antibody testing like thyroid peroxidase(TPO)?

How long have you had the symptoms?

Customer: replied 16 days ago.
Not yet they said on 6 weeks I will do antibodies test
Customer: replied 16 days ago.
I had they symptoms 6 months

May I know your age please? Do you have any other chronic health condition?

Customer: replied 16 days ago.
25 years old
I don’t have other health issues
Customer: replied 16 days ago.
I am at work that’s why I can’t talk right now by phone

On December my T4 was 12 now is 17 and the TSH was 4 now is 5.12

Alright. The treatment can be started if

  • TSH rises to 10 or more with normal T4

  • If your TPO antibodies are positive

  • If you doctor attributes your symptoms to your deranged thyroid labs

At this stage if would be reasonable to repeat tests after a gap of one to two months to see the trend of thyroid hormones and then take a decision accordingly.
