The usual recommended thyroxine dose is weight in kgs multiplied by 1.4.
So your GP may reconsider increasing the dose if your T3 and T4 were in the normal range. TSH alone, in that case, may not be considered.
The dose increase would help in reducing your weight and prevent weight gain.
