This is Dr. David

then I think you need to go to an opthalmologist and get your eyes examined.

only after a full eye examination can your doctor tell if there might be anything wrong with your eyes to cause these flashes of light.

do you ahve an eye doctor you can go see?

do you have any history of diabetes?

how old are you?

do you wear glasses?

Thank you for your reply. I have visited my opthalmologist and he examined my eye. He said that flashes and floaters can be caused by detached retina but he could see no evidence of that . He advised me that if it got worse to come back to him. I hope this doesnt mean that it could still happen

Many Thanks for your reply

detached retina is a rare thing

most likely you won't get a detatched retina.

but as patients get older, there is a small possibility for a detached retina can occur

do you have excessive anxiety or panic attacks?

excessive anxiety can often magnify sypmptoms and make you overly worried over small symptoms.

Yes At present my job is very stressfull

Also my deceased father had his eye removed at my age. I have no idea why and I have requested his records.

Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 years ago.
that is a good idea to request is prior medical history records.

don't let your anixety get out of control on this

I don't think you have to have your eyes removed at this point.

let me know when you get his medical records. I would be happy to help you review them.

best of luck to you.
