Customer Question

I am diabetic and do regular diabetic eye screening which I believe is monitored at a centrally by NHS. The last screening result has given me a lot of concern. I recieved a letter saying evrything is ok. But the eye picture taken at my opticians show my lenses are covered and thay could not examine backof my eyes properly.
1) WHAT can I do as i believe now that this screening is unreiiable?
2)Can I complain about this and to who?
3) My optician said they can't make out a prescrition for my glasses until my lenses are cleaned. I may wait along time for this I believe. My work involves alot of reading and this has slowed me down. i also do not enjoy watching televsion and don't drive unless I have to. Is there anything you could advise to help in the meantime whilst waiting for treatment?

Hi. My name is***** and I am online and available to help you today. Thank you for your patience.Question and answer is just one of the services I offer. I can also provide you with premium services, such as live telephone or skype consultation, at a small additional cost. Let me know if you are interested.1. You may have a cataract. This can make taking pictures of your retina hard to do, much like having oil all over your camera lens. An ophthalmologist, however, may still be able to see your retina through the cataract well enough to see how things are going.2. The optician has not done anything wrong so there is no need to complain to anyone.3. I am not sure why they keep using the word "cleaned". For a cataract you would need surgery to clear things up.... 4. Surgery is the only way to clear things up when it comes to having a cataract. Do not believe anything that The Evil Dr. Google tries to sell you...Does this make sense to you? It's safe for you to press the positive feedback button now if you so desire. And, never fear, even after you press that button I'll still be right here to continue helping you, but, as I do work for tips, I want to make sure you are happy before rating me. Dr. Rick MD FACS
