Customer Question

I have binocular double vision which started on the 3rd of October. I don't have any other symptoms, no headache or dizziness etc. I've made an appointment with the local optician later this month. Would a new prescription for my glasses relieve it?

Hi. I'm Dr. Rick and I have two decades of ophthalmology and retina surgery experience. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.

What happens to the double vision if you close one eye?

Is this both with and without your glasses on?

How is the clarity of your vision in each eye alone?

Do you have any other medical problems or take any medications?

This is not an answer, but an Information Request. I need this information to answer your question. Please reply, so I can answer your question. I look forward to helping you.

If I close either eye double vision disappears with or without glasses. Clarity is good, with glasses of course. I do not take any regular medication. I do, however, occasionally take a ranitidine tablet ( 75mg ) for indigestion.
