Ask an Eye Doctor and Get an Answer ASAP
Good afternoon, I am Dr Elliot. Thank you for your question. When did the nausea start? and what visual symptoms to you have?
What is it you are experiencing though?
Thank you. The closest thing I can think of that could initially cause this is an atypical occular migraine
You do not have to have a typical migraine headache with it, and I would consider it more given your eye examination was normal. Have you tried taking anything for this?
I am very Sorry, I had lost your thread and it finally just appeared again. Are you still free to discuss this?
Sorry. Message back tomorrow if you still would like advice, I can reply then.
Okay, so I was thinking about this today. There are many things that could be causing this, but examination is key here.
You need to be referred to an Ophthalmologist, your GP should be able to do this and have a semi-urgent appt this week. I would also arrange a head MRI scan, this will take 2-4 weeks, but would be useful to check nothing else is going on.
Please don't worry that I think this is something serious, but I do think it is wise to exclude more significant causes...I would chase this come Monday with your GP
sorry, an eye doctor
Thats perfect, you optician can indeed refer you directly and a much quicker route, I would therefore ask your GP about an MRI head
Possibly, but there are some neurological muscular issues that could cause this, but generally it would become more pronounced with yes. Difficult to say sorry
Good evening, Yes, an MRI head would likely exclude it
