Customer Question

Where there is a joint account then either party are entitled to draw on it freely. As such the bank would not be liable for letting her take it all. However if there was an agreement between you and your wife that the funds belonged half to you and half to her then you can sue her for your half.

I hope this clarifies the position. If there are any further points please reply

Best wishes

Yours sincerely
