Customer Question

I had an home insurance policy voided 2 years ago (the reason being making a fraudulent claim). How long will I have to declare that to the insurance companies? and also if I am getting different types of insurance e.g. car insurance, would I have to declare the fact that I have had a home insurance policy voided?

are under a duty to answer the questions honestly. If the question is, have you
ever then you always have to disclose it. Usually, for insurance purposes
legitimate claims disclosable for five years. Fraudulent claims are disclosable
almost for ever.

would not matter what kind of insurer and is you were applying for, as this was
a an attempted fraudulent/dishonest claim, you have to disclose it.

appreciate that this is not the answer you wanted, but there is no point in me
misleading you.
