My divorce settlement states my ex husband pays me a monthly

This answer was rated:

My divorce settlement states my ex husband pays me a monthly amount for our joint lives unless I remarry or co habit with someone else in excess of six months ....I have no claim on his pension so does this mean when he retires he does not have to continue with this payment ?
Thank you for your question.

No it means that he has to pay so long as you are both alive and you do not live with anyone else or remarry, or until the court makes a further order.
The fact that there was no Pension Sharing Order does not change this.
