my ex husband remarried 11 years ago, and his will states

my ex husband remarried 11 years ago, and his will states everything is to be left to our daughter, he is now seriously ill with cancer will the will still stand he is insisting it will but my daughter is not so sure
Hi thanks for your question, I will assist you with this.
If he made the will before he married, then the will is voided by the marriage.
If however, he has made the will after the marriage, the will is considered valid.
However, if there is a joint property with his new wife, then as joint tenants she would inherit this. Also if she is dependent upon him financially she may be able to seek a share of the estate.
