My ex wife remarried last month and I have been told that only

This answer was rated:

My ex wife remarried last month and I have been told that only my child maintenance payments should continue (our daughter is 18 & living with her mother & new husband but attending tertiary education) per the BY CONSENT ORDER until she is 21. However I also pay 25% of my quarterly dividends to my ex wife until our daughter is 21 or the shares are sold under the UPON the WIFE & the HUSBAND agreeing section of the Minutes of Agreement & Consent Order. Am I entitled to stop paying the dividends now that she has remarried as this is spousal maintenance?
Thank you for your question.
My name is Clare
I will do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
Can you reproduce the full wording of that part of the Order?

Hi Clare

Can I scan & email the Minutes of Agreement & Consent Order (2 pages)?

Thank you for that
Bad news I am afraid
The share of the dividends still needs to be paid despite your ex's remarriage - they are not expressed to be spouse maintenance I am afraid.
Sorry to give such bad news - please ask if you need further details
