This answer was rated:

If I buy a new property whilst going thru decree nisi, can my wife claim anything on this, we have agreed financial settlement and she will be staying in the marital home. We have two children who will live with both of us, Half and half. I am being loaned by a member of my family the settlement figure as I won't be given this until decree absolute and I should be able to get this house before this time. I need to know that the loaned settlement figure is safe and I will repay as soon as I receive it. Thank you
Thank you for your question.

I will do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
When is the Decree Nisi and has the wording of the Consent Order been agreed?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
We are waiting for a date for decree nisi. The papers have gone back to court. The wording of the consent order has been agreed
Then provided the loan is documented all should be well
However it would also be sensible to be honest and open with your ex about what is happening so that there is no risk of allegations of hidden funds being raised at this late date
I hope that this is of assistance - please ask if you need further details
