My husband has parental responsibility of his step son who has lived with us for years (with me for 5 years officially). My husband doesn't work (ill health) and the only benefits he claims are child benefit and child tax credits, none for him. I work but don't have parental responsibility or legal guardianship. If our step son went to live with his bio dad would I have to pay child maintenance because I'm married to my husband and the earner for the household
