Claire, my ex has wrote in welfare book my daughter wants

This answer was rated:

Hi Claire, my ex has wrote in welfare book my daughter wants a pet he knows I've never been keen on pets and I believe he just creating issues. Shal I write back saying will only accept artificial pe s eg fishes or birds. I am scared he is trying to prove I do not meet my daughters needs
How old is your daughter?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

5 years old

Not buying a pet for a 5 year is a matter fro parents and not something which the court would consider is evidence that you are not meeting the child's needs. I am also not convinced that such comments are the purpose of a communications/welfare book. I would simply not engage in the issue.
